The Adventures of Canadian Paddington Bear: Chapter 1

It's been a while since I've written, and I've sure been keeping busy. I have some great ideas for posts, so you'll be seeing more in the coming weeks I promise. I just got back from a fun trip to Toronto, where I got to spend time with one of my dear friends there.  We visited the CN Tower, Toronto Aquarium, Casa Loma, and the Toronto Zoo. There are lots of things to see and do up in Toronto, so I am eagerly looking forward to returning in the (hopefully) not-too-distant future! My friend Alex and I decided to buy matching Paddingtons, and to have some fun with them in the form of pictures. We're going to send one another pictures of the bears doing fun things with us, so me being the creative type that I am decided to open the faucet of whimsy and have some fun with this. So, I present the first of many chapters of "The Adventures of Canadian Paddington Bear" - a chronicle of silly things done with a teddy bear and a cell phone camera.

IMG_0864Meet Canadian Paddington Bear. He's the quiet type, but dependable and adorable at the same time. He's destined for adventure and loyal companionship!   IMG_0888Today was a very early day, because Paddington and I were heading back to Texas at the end of my visit to Toronto. He was excited to get up and see all that there is to see in the world outside of the retail store he was bought in.   IMG_0892.jpgWe made it to the airport, and had some time to wait before boarding the flight. We boarded on time, and took off shortly thereafter.   IMG_0897.jpgHe was very excited to watch the clouds go by as we soared through the air.  IMG_0899.jpgAll of that excitement made Paddington tired, so we took a brief snooze...   IMG_0900Then we had some orange juice...  IMG_0901.jpg...and watched a movie! Next thing we knew, we were landing in Houston as our stopover on our way to Austin. We couldn't pass up the opportunity for a little glamour shot while waiting for our connecting flight...  fullsizeoutput_4655...we didn't do much on the connecting flight since it was very short. Once we got back to the car, Paddington offered to drive.  IMG_0917.jpgHe couldn't reach the pedals, sadly, so I took care of the driving for a few errands before heading home. One such errand was swinging by the dive shop...  IMG_0918.jpgI think he may want to become the world's first scuba-diving teddy bear. After that it was time to go home.  IMG_0920.jpgIt was a long day, but a great day, and a fun adventure. Join us again some time when we see what other fun things Paddington gets into!
