It’s been a while.
I swear, I'm still here.
I've fallen a little behind on posting on the blog here, and I don't have much of a good reason for it. I haven't been focusing much lately on developing content ever since YouTube struck a blow to small channels by demonetizing them. It kind of derailed me, and I wound up focusing on some other things in life. However, I'm going to make a conscious effort to get back into the swing of things, and start posting here more often again.
That being said, let's have a bit of an update on what's been going on:
Cruises
Since my last cruise-related update, I've taken two more cruises this year. I went on Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas. My Mariner cruise was with my best friend Ellen, whom had never been n a cruise before. We had a blast. We did the four night itinerary visiting Nassau and CoCoCay in the Bahamas, then a day at sea on the way back to Miami. I had a chance to go scuba diving while in Nassau, and it was beautiful. I'll be making separate posts on that in the coming days. I last-minute-booked a solo cruise on Enchantment of the Seas visiting the same ports, but without the day at sea. The highlight of this cruise was when I went parasailing; I hadn't done this, and can't wait to do it again. There will be updates and pictures, I promise!
Diving
As much as I hate to say this, the last time I've been diving was on my Mariner cruise in August. It's been a few months since I've been in the water, and it's eating me up inside! Thankfully I've got some diving opportunities coming up very soon (spoiler alert: I'm going on another cruise...a blog post about that is forthcoming), so I'm eagerly awaiting that. I'm up to 51 total logged dives, which means I'm close to earning the highest rating a recreational diver can earn, called "Master Scuba Diver." I'm not stopping there though, because I intend to go into the professional realm of diving to become a Divemaster, then get into instruction. I love to train people, and I love to dive, so why not put both together?
Photography
I want to take more pictures; I love photography in so many aspects. I'm building a second camera rig, which I'll be writing about in another blog post as well. I've made up business cards, and am starting to gather folks who want some headshots in exchange for updating my portfolio. You can see more of my work over on the site I've got setup for my portfolio, or by clicking on this handy link. In the coming months I'd like to start doing some interactive live streams about photography as well; I did one on Periscope some time ago, and it was pretty fun.
Other Travel
A few weeks back I flew to the Baltimore area to see two of my dear friends tie the knot. I had a great time, and it was so much fun meeting their families and friends, and sharing that special day with two of my dearest friends.
So, that's about it for now. I've alluded to some other blog posts forthcoming, and I promise it will be less than 3+ months between posts moving forward! Be sure to stay tuned for more, and please share my blog and encourage folks to sign up for my mailing list if you like the content I have. Thanks again for all of your support, and I'll see you soon!
